The relocation of this Chamber of Commerce office into a former local brewery office gave them a central location in downtown Sault Ste Marie and allowed them to be accessible to their members. This small space maintains a lot of the original character with keeping the wood ceiling exposed by treating it with a fire rated finish, and the existing open web steel joists were painted in a fun and bright yellow to draw the eyes up and reflect the energy and exuberance the Chamber represents for their membership. The natural wood door frames, stone accent wall and large glazing elements are reflective of the natural local environment. The short office walls with open ceilings keep the space open and create a feeling of a transparent and inclusive environment for all visitors to this space.
